Peak Performance Coaching & Counseling For:

Sometimes high performers get stuck, burned out, or simply unable to find their flow.

First of all—if this is you, it’s not your fault.

You may feel in some way broken. You are not.

You may have tried mindset coaching, talk therapy, mentorship, or simply practicing more and trying harder. So far, nothing has gotten you to where you want to go. Any of those approaches can work, but sometimes none of them do. They just don’t go deep enough to resolve the blocks getting in the way of your performance.

What often helps when other methods have failed is an evidence-based approach developed by psychologists and neuroscientists and tested through robust research.

Deeper than mindset work

Peak performance coaching/counseling is about bypassing your thought process. It goes deeper than mindset or cognitive work. It’s about your heart-brain-body connecting and learning to perform with ease, confidence, and coherence. It’s about being able to trust your actions and decisions.

The antidote to a slump, performance anxiety, burnout, or the yips

It’s about letting go of your anxiety and stress in order for your body and mind to perform from a calm, steady state. It’s the antidote to a slump, burnout, or the yips. It’s about recovering from a set-back or injury.

It’s about achieving your peak performance with much more flow and resilience.

  • You’ve worked with coaches, consulted colleagues, and pushed yourself harder, but nothing anyone has suggested or done has helped enough. You are still stuck—with performance anxiety, stage fright, or another block. You aren’t sleeping well; you shake (inside at least) and sweat when you have to perform; or you just aren’t showing up because it feels like too much. LEARN MORE.

  • This interruption of your training, practice, or focus has produced too much worry and anxiety, and you can’t shake it. Your heart pounds, your body shakes, you sweat. You don’t feel like you can get over it. Your performance is suffering, and you blame yourself. LEARN MORE.

  • It just happened—suddenly you are not able to do what you used to do. Or you aren’t progressing, no matter how hard you try. Or stage fright or other anxiety is getting in your way. You feel the fear in your body. It’s not doing what it’s supposed to do. It feels horrible, like you are out of control. This, when you need to perform at a higher level, not regress. LEARN MORE.

Performance issues often require immediate attention. You may even feel like you’ve waited too long. Let me make this part as easy as possible.

What performance coaching and counseling looks like

Once we decide to work together, I will provide a system uniquely designed to enhance your performance. This can include:

  • Biofeedback/HeartMath™, a research-proven approach to create heart-brain coherence and allow you to focus calmly and fully and perform at peak levels.

  • EMDR (eye movement desensitation and reprocessing) and Brainspotting, two extremely effective brain-body based methods adapted from trauma psychotherapy to help you find and “reprocess” whatever is creating the performance problem and then “install” your peak performance protocol.

  • We can work together in person or remotely via video conferencing. In person work can happen in my office or at your workplace, arena, practice venue, or sports field. If you live at a distance, you can come to my office for several days of intensive work. Or I can come to you if that makes more sense.

  • You can start to see improvements after 2 to 4 times of meeting with me and incorporating what I teach you into your routine. Repeated clinical studies show that you may receive the benefits of peak performance work in several weeks or months, depending on how intense our work together is.
